I was born and raised here in the Tidewater area. In 2003 I started working with Eggleston Services. In 2006 I came to work at the Garden Center which has allowed me to expand my knowledge of plants. As a child I grew up with my grandmother who had a garden. She grew all kinds of vegetables. I remember she would spend hours in the garden and she would make me homemade pickles. Working at Tanners and Eggleston has allowed me to meet wonderful people who go out of their way to help & support those who need it whether it is physically or emotionally.”

I’m from Kentucky and have been in Virginia since July 2007. I’ve been with Eggleston Services since September of 2007. I love working at Tanners Creek because I’m a nature lover and having a chance to watch things grow has been a gift. I also enjoy working with the people from Eggleston and the people of the community. I’ve learned a lot about people, plants, and the earth.”

I’ve been involved in the horticulture industry for 27 years. I began working as a landscape foreman in 1981 to work my way through college. In 1988 I went to work at a wholesale greenhouse business where I managed the daily operations of 18 large greenhouses. The year 1991 took me to a 120 acre wholesale nursery where among other duties I established and managed their pesticide application program. Working in a wholesale environment was a valuable experience but I missed the interaction with the public that landscaping had offered. I’ve been a retail manager now for over 14 years having started at a Garden Center in Maryland in 1994. I joined Tanners Creek Garden Center and Eggleston Services in 2008."
